Brake pads are an essential part of any vehicle's braking system and, without them, your car would not be able to halt or slow down effectively - meaning it would not be roadworthy. Brake pads that are wearing down will impact the performance of your vehicle, and you will likely be able to feel when they start to become less effective. They work when the brakes of your car are applied; the caliper squeezes the two pads on each wheel together against the spinning rotor. This slows or stops the motion of the wheel. If you feel your vehicle is not responding well to braking, it could be time to change your pads.
At Black Diamond, all of our brake pads are of the highest possible standard. Each pad has been made to meet the manufacturers' requirements to provide you with the highest performance and safest drive possible. Rover was a British motor vehicle marque which became a global household name between 1904 and 2005. The brand started life as a bicycle maker named Rover Company in 1878, before moving on to manufacture cars in 1904. Having been passed through many hands including LMC and BMW, as of 2005 no more Rover vehicles have been produced, and the marque is classed as dormant. However, the rights to the Rover name are currently part of Jaguar Land Rover.
The first Rover ever put into production cost £200 to buy. It was a two-seater and notably had no windscreen. It was also minus any rear suspension and a roof. Despite this, it went through many different modifications and became very successful for the brand.
Fifty years later, prompted by the tough American Jeeps used during World War Two, the Land Rover was created fit somewhere between tractors and light trucks in a post-war marketplace where luxuries were not top of the public’s list. Early models were painted in army green and the roof was an optional extra. However, it was still one of the company’s biggest sellers right up until the 70s.
The 1980s saw continued success for Rover with the unveiling of the iconic city hatch, the Metro. Then came the two executives; the Rover 600 Series and the Rover 75. The 600s were manufactured between 1993 and 1999 and came with super nippy 1.8, 2.0 and 2.3-litre straight-4 petrol engines which were all manufactured by Honda. The Rover 75 was marketed with front-wheel drive in a choice of either saloon or estate body style. Later on, it could also be purchased with a long-wheelbase, rear-wheel drive and V8 engine. Between 2001 and 2004, an MG-branded version was created by MG Rover; the MG ZT.
Locating the necessary Rover parts can be no easy task, especially as it’s been many years since its cars were manufactured. This is where Performance Car Parts can help.
