Brake pads are an essential part of any vehicle's braking system and, without them, your car would not be able to halt or slow down effectively - meaning it would not be roadworthy. Brake pads that are wearing down will impact the performance of your vehicle, and you will likely be able to feel when they start to become less effective. They work when the brakes of your car are applied; the caliper squeezes the two pads on each wheel together against the spinning rotor. This slows or stops the motion of the wheel. If you feel your vehicle is not responding well to braking, it could be time to change your pads.
At Black Diamond, all of our brake pads are of the highest possible standard. Each pad has been made to meet the manufacturers' requirements to provide you with the highest performance and safest drive possible. Founded in June 1925, the Chrysler company has certainly gone through many ups and downs through its long established history. The group came about because of Walter Chrysler, a big name in the American car industry, who was fanatical about mechanics. Walter was eventually hired by the Maxwell Motor Company to rebuild the business’s ailing operations and fix its complex financial difficulties.
His appointment proved successful and in 1924, Walter showcased his 6-cylinder eponymous vehicle which included numerous cutting-edge features never previously seen in cars at that time. These features included things like a high compression engine, carburettor, oil filter, air filter and full pressure lubrication.
Soon, this new vehicle became a huge hit and due to this success the Maxwell Marque was dropped. The decline of the Maxwell Motor Company paved the way for a successful, thriving new vehicle manufacturing company; Chrysler.
There are many Chrysler models in existence but two in particular have consistently proven to be bestsellers - the Voyager and the 300.
For any growing family, the Chrysler Voyager is enduringly popular. Spacious, reliable and comfortable, original models made between 1988 and 1990 and were sold in Europe as rebranded Dodge Caravans. In the US, the Caravan was sold along with the Plymouth Voyager which was similar. The European Chrysler Voyager was almost exactly the same as the American Dodge Caravan apart from the lack of a four-cylinder turbo charged engine and 3.3 L Chrysler EGA V6 weren’t included.
The Chrysler 300 is large and luxurious and was first showcased at the New York Auto Show in 2003 as a concept before going on sale in the US in April 2004. Designed in 2001 by Ralph Gilles, the 300 was marketed as a prestige sedan whilst the SRT-8 model became known as the high-performance version. Since 2011, the Chrysler 300 has been sold in Europe as the Lancia Thema but is known as the Chrysler 300 in the UK and Ireland.
